Born and raised in Somerset, I lived in Paris for 26 years and continue to divide my time between both places.

I’ve travelled a lot costuming shows and love collecting materials and unusual things that catch my eye.

You’ll find pieces in the shop sourced from these travels – Balinese masks, Indian textiles, art from Cameroon…though most of my stock comes directly from Paris.

Many of the fabrics I use have a story to them, having originally been bought to make a costume. I love using textiles with texture and rich tales to tell!

I sell new clothing I’ve sourced in Paris, things I’ve handmade, decorative antiques and curiosities found on my travels. My Dad has been an antiques dealer in Somerset for over 50 years. He finds special pieces for the shop to sit amongst my new and vintage things – so you’ll always find an eclectic mix of treasures.

I return to Paris as often as possible to see my daughter and touch base with my old life. That includes visiting the fabric and clothing quarters I know well from my costuming days, and bringing lovely textiles and fashion back from Paris to Frome.
